Wily a first veteran

Friday, February 27, 2015
WILY FOX runs in the first veteran hurdle race at Newbury tomorrow. Veteran races have been run over fences for  a while now but tomorrow sees the first running of a hurdle race of this type. It looks as if it will be a popular idea as it has attracted 16 runners. WILY FOX needed his recent run at Huntingdon as he had been off the track for a while with an injury, he came out of that race well. He is running off a rating 119 which is only a pound below his highest ever rating which doesn't make it easy for him. He will be wearing the combination of hood and blinkers which he wore to good effect last year. We are hoping for a good run but it does looks competitive with so many runners.
