Iron Butterfly to show her strength at Fakenham

Friday, December 19, 2014
IRON BUTTERFLY heads for local track Fakenham on Sunday. She runs over a distance just short of 3 miles for the first time, there are 8 runners and Harry Skelton will have his first ride for the yard. She ran a decent race at Ascot recently finishing 6th, this was her first run back over hurdles this winter. She got interfered with at a vital stage of the race and lost her position but made up ground in the straight and stayed on well to the line. She has never run over further than 2 miles 6 furlongs before but the way she runs her races suggests she will stay further and she has plenty of stamina in her pedigree. She should handle the track as she has won around Catterick which is also a tight left handed course. She won in December last year so lets hope she can repeat that on Sunday.
