2 runners at 2 meetings tomorrow

Tuesday, September 30, 2014
The 2 year olds BRIDGEKEEPER and CHIEF SPIRIT both run tomorrow but at different track. CHIEF SPIRIT heads to Salisbury to contest a mile maiden, there are 11 runners. He ran an encouraging race on debut finishing 6th at Yarmouth. He was very green early on but the penny dropped in the final 2 furlongs and he stayed on nicely in the closing stages. He is running over the same trip and similar ground conditions this time. Hopefully he can run another nice race tomorrow.
BRIDGEKEEPER runs in a 10 furlong nursery at Nottingham and there are only 8 runners. This is first run in a handicap and he is stepping up considerably in trip. This is not a cunning plan but he is by a sprinter and from a family of stayers on the dams side. He is entered in the Horses In Training sale we need to find out if he does stay before then. He is a nice type of horse so we hope he can show a bit more over this longer trip than he has in his last couple of runs.
