Dancing Angel to perform well at Windsor

Sunday, June 1, 2014

DANCING ANGEL runs in a 6 furlong maiden race at Windsor tomorrow night. She made a very promising debut at Doncaster finishing an eye catching third. She missed the break slightly that day and was slowly away but made up ground well in the closing stages. She worked well in the week, although it looks a slightly stronger race tomorrow, we expect her to run a decent race. She is drawn 3 which is a good draw whichever side they decide to race as she has all the other fancied horses drawn around her. Her Doncaster run suggests she would get 7 furlongs but she should be sharper this time so we are sticking to 6 furlongs for the time being.

TIGHT LIPPED runs at Yarmouth on Tuesday in a mile handicap and goes there in good form. He looked as if he was coming back to his best with a good second at Newmarket last time out and that form was franked when the winner, CHAIN OF EVENTS, won again at Sandown last week. He is dropping back to a mile but has good form over this distance and has run well at Yarmouth before, he seems to like a straight track. The ground is currently good but if they get some rain it would help him over this trip. There are only 8 runners and he should run well. Rosie Jessop has ridden him twice before and finished second both times, let's hope this is third time lucky and she can go one better on Tuesday!
