The MacDougall Two partnership have two runners at opposite ends of the country tomorrow. SPA'S DANCER runs in the Newbury Spring Cup. He ran a good race in the Lincoln from a career high handicap mark. He was dropped all of one pound for his run in the Lincoln so will still find it tough in the ultra-competitive Spring Cup. He is drawn 25 of 25 which may not be a bad draw. The first two in the 7 furlong handicap at Newbury today came up the stands side although generally the quickest ground seemed to be up the middle of the course. SPA'S DANCER came out of the Lincoln in great form and should run another good race. Jim Crowley takes the ride.
AVIATOR travels all the way to North Yorkshire to Thirsk for a good mile and a half handicap. He is making his debut for the yard and we are still learning about him. Although the ground will be good and therefore safe tomorrow, he probably would prefer softer conditions and his best trip may be over slightly further. He was bought as a dual-purpose horse and will go hurdling in the Autumn which he looks ideal for. He is an interesting runner and has been pleasing at home. Graham Gibbons takes the ride.
