Wily Fox heads for Warwick on Sunday

Friday, March 7, 2014
WILY FOX runs at Warwick on Sunday in a 2 mile 5 furlong handicap hurdle and there are 14 runners. He has finally been dropped enough by the handicapper to step down in grade which will help him. He has taken on some smart performers in his last couple of races. He is still 4 pounds higher then when he last won so it still won't be easy for him. The ground is soft and should stay that way which will be fine for him. Unfortunately his regular jockey, Kieran Edgar, broke his leg in a fall at Newbury last week. We wish him a speedy recovery. Jack Quinlan rides him on Sunday and he has won on him before so is a very able substitute. WILY FOX has been running consistently all winter, he has never been out of the first 4, let's hope he can maintain this record on Sunday.
