Busy afternoon tomorrow

Tuesday, December 17, 2013
There are 2 runners tomorrow afternoon on the all weather London tracks. SCOTTISH STAR heads for Lingfield where he runs in a 10 furlong handicap and is drawn 5 of the 11 runners. He is a course and distance winner but he has not run there since he won there early in his 3 year old season. He ran below par last time out at Kempton for no obvious reason, he never got a position never really got into the race that day. Hopefully he can bounce back from that run as he seems in good form at home. He is never given much help by the handicapper, he was dropped a pound for his last run but is still high in the weights. He is set to carry 9st 4 tomorrow so he is going to be ridden by Louis Steward who claims 7 pounds. He is a straightforward horse to ride so hopefully it will be a help to him to carry less weight. It would be nice to put his last run behind him and return to form tomorrow.
GREEN MUSIC runs in a 5 furlong handicap at Kempton and is well drawn in stall 2 of the 8 runners. She won nicely at Wolverhampton last Friday wearing a hoolinker and she will be wearing the same headgear tomorrow. She has run well at Kempton before and hopefully she can make use of the good draw as she usually breaks well. As one would expect, it does look a more competitive race tomorrow but, as long as the race has not come too soon for her, she should have a good chance. Luke Morris, who won on her last time, takes the ride again.
