Star goes for the Silver

Friday, September 27, 2013
SCOTTISH STAR makes a quick reappearance on the racecourse today,  he runs in the Silver Cambridgeshire At Newmarket. We never imagined he would get in but we are delighted that he has. He has never run at Newmarket before but we feel the track could suit him well. He finished second at Kempton on Wednesday evening and he showed that he does stay 12 furlongs but he is a winner over todays distance . One probably needs a horse that stays 1 1/4 miles to win over 9 furlongs at Newmarket. The ground should be fine for him and he is drawn 28 of the 28 runners which could be a good draw as yesterday the jockeys did seem to prefer the stands side. Although he only ran 2 days ago he has been for a trot this morning and seems in goods form so we are hoping for the best.
