BLUE PETER RACING have 2 runners at Pontefract tomorrow and both have chances. TIGHT LIPPED runs in the first race, a mile handicap. He was a good second at Yarmouth last week over the same trip and ground and off the same handicap mark so hopefully he can go close again. He is drawn 13 of the 16 runners which is not ideal but he usually breaks well so hopefully he can get a good position early on and it won't be too much of a disadvantage.
WILY FOX runs later in the card in the 2 mile 2 furlong handicap. In a perfect world he would prefer softer ground purely because he handles soft ground better then most. He stayed on well over 2 miles on heavy ground at Newbury in his last run on the flat last autumn so on better ground you would think he will stay the extra distance. He has been running well over hurdles this winter so he is in good form at present. This race is one of a series of staying races and if he runs well tomorrow he could be a canditate for more races in the series providing he gets the right ground.
