Iron Butterfly fancied at Fontwell tomorrow

Monday, March 25, 2013
IRON BUTTERFLY runs in a mares maiden hurdle race at Fontwell tomorrow and there are only 9 runners. She has run well in both her starts over hurdles but has been a bit keen so she will be tried in a hood for the first time. This form of headgear has made a big difference to WILY FOX this winter so let's hope it has the same effect on IRON BUTTERFLY. It doesn't look the strongest race and the ground will be testing which will suit her so she must have a chance.
She will probably revert to the flat after this run before having a proper summer break. She has improved physically over the winter but is the type to improve further with time and she should really come into her own over jumps next season.
