Torran Sounds makes chasing debut

Wednesday, February 20, 2013
TORRAN SOUND is running in his first race over fences at Huntingdon tomorrow. It is a novice chase over 2 miles and looks a hot race but he has to run in a novice chase for his first run. There are only 7 runners so it not a big field. Ideally he would be running over further on better ground but as the ground is still soft we didn't want to run him over too far for his first run over fences. Paul Moloney rides him, he has schooled him at home and is happy with the way he jumps. Let's hope he jumps round well tomorrow.
On Friday evening SCOTTISH STAR runs in a 9 1/2 furlong handicap at Wolverhampton. He has won over a mile but this is probably the minimum trip for him these days, we hope he will stay 1 1/2 miles this year. There are 11 runners and he is drawn 7. Graham Lee gets the ride as Luke Morris is suspended but he should suit the horse well .He is the first  of the flat horses to run this year from those that have had a winter break. He is in good form and should run well.
