Baan to get New Year off to winning start

Monday, December 31, 2012
BAAN will be the first runner of the New Year on Wednesday at Wolverhampton. He runs in a 2 mile Amateur Rider's handicap and can hopefully give Stevie his first winner. He gave him a good ride last time at Lingfield. They finished third that day beaten just over 2 lengths and are 4 pounds better off with the winner of that race this time which should give him a very good chance of reversing the form. The trip and the track will suit him, the only negative is that he is drawn wide again, he is in stall 11 of the 13 runners. If he can get a bit lof luck early on and get into a good position he must have a decent each way chance. It would be great to get the New Year off to a winning start.
