First jump runner of the winter

Thursday, November 8, 2012
TORRAN SOUND gets the winter jumping season going when he runs at Fontwell tomorrow in a 2 1/2 mile handicap hurdle. The ground is drying ourt which will suit him, if it becomes good to soft it will be ideal for him. It is his first run back after a break but he runs well fresh. The race has cut up and there are only 7 runners which must give him an each way chance. It is the first ride for the yard for Jack Quinlan, who is a very promising young jockey and he still claims 3 pounds which could prove useful.
