VIKING ROSE returns to Yarmouth tomorrow where she finished third last time out over the same distance. Rather annoyingly it rained there last night as James was hoping for good ground. She was taken out twice last week to avoid soft ground but this looks the right race for her and there are no suitable alternative races so she is a definite runner. Although it was soft ground last time it was felt that she ran well despite the ground not because of it. The straight mile at Yarmouth seems to suit her as she can stay out of trouble. She is not a very big filly so seems to prefer being on the outside of the field rather than in amongst horses. With only 10 runners tomorrow and drawn 7 she should be able to keep clear of trouble. This race looks a weaker contest than her last race so if she can run as well as last time she should be thereabouts. It will be the first time she has faced older horses but that should not be a problem for her.
