SOUTH AFRICAN GOLD and IRON CONDOR run on the polytrack at Kempton tomorrow evening. SOUTH AFRCAN GOLD runs in a 7 furlong maiden which is not the strongest race apart from ENTITLED from Michael Stoute's yard but one should never be afraid of one horse. He will run in sheepskin cheekpieces for the first time tomorrow. He ran a very good race 2 runs ago but disappointed last time out. He never seems to be able to run 2 consecutive good races. Let's hope the cheekpieces have a positive effect.
IRON CONDOR is back at Kempton over 12 furlongs, he is a course and distance winner there. He seems better on the all weather than he does on the turf so he must have a good chance even with top weight. He also has the assistance of Paul Hanagan in the saddle, no jockey will be trying to harder to win than him except possibly Richard Hughes! He rode him last time out at Goodwood where he was disappointing. The ground didn't suit him that day, it was very tacky and he didn't handle it all. Let's hope he can bounce back to form on the polytrack.
