Kempton on a Wednesday seems a fairly regular fixture in our diaries and we have 2 runners there again tomorrow, MENDOZA and NORDIC FLIGHT. MENDOZA was a bit ring rusty at Chelmsford last time out, his first run for us, but he did nothing wrong. He has come out of the race well and hopefully it has sharpened him up a bit. He runs in a 6 furlong handicap tomorrow, it was a novice race last time, and is drawn 3 of the 9 runners. It will be interesting to see how he goes and we will hopefully learn a bit more about him.
NORDIC FLIGHT ran well at Windsor last time out as it was his first run back after a long break from an injury. He was a bit fresh and got very tired in the final furlong. We are dropping him back to a mile from 10 furlongs as he showed alot of early speed and it will also help the jockey to settle him. Hopefully we can establish what his ideal trip will be going forward. It is an apprentice handicap and he is drawn 6 of the 11 runners, he will be ridden by Luke Catton claiming a useful 5 pounds. He has always worked well on the polytrack surface and ran his best race on the all weather at Wolverhampton so we think the surface will suit him very well.
