Course specialist COVERHAM returns to Kempton tomorrow evening where he is already a 4 times course and distance winner. He won a 0-70 handicap there a fortnight ago and this times runs in a 0-75 handicap over the same trip . The handicapper, who has been fair with him all along, put him up 3 pounds on the all weather for that win which we can't complain about. He will now be running off a career highest rating but if he can win off that mark anywhere it will be at Kempton. He is drawn wide in stall l3 of the 14 runners but it may not be too much of a disadvantage to him as he tends to lack a bit of early speed so a low draw doesn't always help him. He will be cheered on as always by his enthusiastic owners, Blue Peter Racing 15, who will also once again be looking forward to the excellent hospitality provided by Kempton racecourse.
ENVOY, who is also a course and distance winner, runs at Kempton tomorrow evening too. He is drawn 2 of the 12 runners and ,like COVERHAM, will be partnered by Ryan Tate. At the end of his last campaign we tried him over 2 miles but he didn't stay so he drops back to 12 furlongs tomorrow. We gave him a holiday after that run and so this will be his first run back but he does tend to run well fresh. He too will be running of a career highest mark so it wont be easy for him as it looks a hot contest but we hope he can run a decent race.
