Two runners at Nottingham tomorrow

Tuesday, October 3, 2017
MUSIC SEEKER and FATHER McKENZIE both run at Nottingham tomorrow where the ground is currently good to soft. MUSIC SEEKER is well drawn in stall 1 of the 10 runners and Paul Mulrennan takes the ride. When he ran at Sandown last time he ran very green when he was in amongst a pack of horses so we are trying him in blinkers for the first time tomorrow to see if they help him to concentrate and not to worry about what is around him. Hopefully he can break well and take advantage of the good draw tomorrow and run a good race.
FATHER McKENZIE runs in a 5 furlong handicap and is drawn 14 of the 14 runners. He ran very well at Yarmouth last time out as it was his first run back after a break and we felt that he would just need the run. We are dropping him back in trip tomorrow as he showed plenty of speed that day and the ground is now slower than it was that day. He will be ridden by Paul Pilley who will take a valuable 5 pounds off his back which all helps. He seems to have come on at home from his last race so we hope he can go close tomorrow.
