Two chances over hurdles tomorrow

Friday, September 29, 2017
APACHE SONG and CAPTAIN FELIX both run over hurdles at Market Rasen tomorrow,  Jack Quinlan takes the ride on them both. APACHE SONG runs in a 2 mile mares novice hurdle race and there are 9 runners. She did very little wrong last season. We were delighted with her first run when she finished 2nd at Doncaster and she probably would have finished 2nd next time out if she hadn't made a bad mistake at the final flight. We then gave her a holiday and she has done very well physically so she should run a nice race tomorrow even though it will be her first run of the season.
CAPTAIN FELIX runs in a 2 mile 2 furlong handicap hurdle and there are 8 runners. He ran very well over course and distance first time out this season finishing third. The only slight worry would be if they got too much rain as he is a good ground horse and the trip is probably at the limit of his stamina. He is in good form at home and as long as the ground is OK he too should run a decent race.
