MACKSVILLE doesn't have to travel far to Chelmsford this evening. He runs in a mile and 6 furlong handicap and is drawn 10 of the 14 runners, Ryan Tate takes the ride. He didn't run badly at Kempton last time out as he kept going all the way to the line but the race became a sprint and he wasn't beaten far. We have changed the headgear from cheekpieces to blinkers to just help the jockey to get him to travel better throughout the race. He has run well over this trip on the turf so dropping back in trip shouldn't be a problem. It looks a competitive race but we are hoping for the best.
