Sandy Cove back on the flat at Yarmouth
Monday, July 31, 2017
SANDY COVE returns to the flat tomorrow at Yarmouth where he is a course winner. He runs in a 12 furlong handicap and is drawn 8 of 8 runners, Ryan Tate takes the ride. He has made a good start to his hurdling career but there just aren't alot of suitable races in that sphere for him at the moment so we thought we would switch him back to the flat. He will be wearing cheekpieces for the first time as he has got into the habit of being slowly away so we hope this will sharpen him up out of the stalls. He has been good in them at home so we hope it will have the desired effect on the racecourse. We are confident that the ground will have dried up sufficiently for him as he needs it to be good or faster. If the cheekpieces work and he can return to his best form then he could run well.
