Two runners over hurdles tomorrow

Friday, June 9, 2017
We have two runners over hurdles at Stratford tomorrow evening, Jack Quinlan will ride both. BURNING HEAT runs in a 2 mile handicap hurdle and faces 6 opponents. He has been in good from since his last run at Warwick and this race has ben his target. He meets the winner that day, ROSSETTI, on the same terms again so there is no logical reason why he should turn the tables but it is a different day and anything can happen. There is good prize money on offer so it is worth a go. The ground is currently good which should be fine but if they do get rain it shouldn't affect his chances, it may even help him.
SANDY COVE runs in a 2 mile novice hurdle and there are 10 runners. We were pleased with his last run at Huntingdon as he jumped well and had obviously learnt from his debut. We hope he can progress again tomorrow. It would be a slight concern for him if it did rain as he is a top of the ground performer on the flat. We aren't sure how he would take to soft ground over hurdles.
