Busy Tuesday!

Monday, October 17, 2016
It is a busy day tomorrow with 4 runners at 2 different meetings, 3 at Yarmouth and one in the evening at Kempton. VOTE begins proceedings, she runs in the 6 furlong nursery and is drawn 6 of the 10 runners. This will be her first run in a handicap so we aren't sure if she has been harshly or favourably treated. She ran a decent race in the bonus race at Newmarket last time out, she was drawn in the wrong half but did show alot speed. She ran respectably in 2 maiden races prior to that. We have no idea if the ground will suit her, it is good/soft at the moment, but we have always thought she wold appreciate a bit of cut. She stills seems in good form for a filly at this time of the year so we are hoping for the best.
PENNY GREEN runs in a mile fillies maiden and is drawn 4 of the 16 runners. She had an enforced break between her first and second run so we feel she is better than both her runs to date. She has had an uninterrupted run before this race but it does look a very hot maiden. She is a half-sister to Pennerley, who showed last week, that she likes soft ground so hopefully PENNY GREEN will be suited by the ground tomorrow. We just hope she can take a step forward from her last run at Nottingham and run a decent race.
POPPY TIME makes up the trio at Yarmouth and, like the other 2 runners, will be ridden by Ryan Tate.  She runs in a 12 furlong handicap and is drawn 8 of 11 runners. She was disappointing at Chelmsford last time out but has come out of the race well. We think she just didn't handle the track. She ran perfectly well at Newbury so we hope that Yarmouth will suit her equally well. The trip and the ground should also suit her. we hope she can run to her Newbury form and put in improved performance.
LONGSIDE heads to Kempton evening meeting and will be ridden by Thomas Brown, who rode him to victory at Brighton earlier in the season so knows the horse well. He put the poor run at Nottingham behind him by finishing third at Brighton last time out. He showed last winter that he acts on the polytrack and the drop back to a mile and 3 furlongs shouldn't inconvenience him. He is well drawn in stall 1 of the 14 runners, so we hope he can round off a busy day for us by running well.
