Two runners at Newbury tomorrow

Monday, August 22, 2016
POPPY TIME and FOLY BERGERE run at Newbury tomorrow and both will be ridden by Ryan Tate. POPPY TIME is running in a maiden race over 12 furlongs and is drawn 7 of the 7 runners. She ran well at the same track last time out over 10 furlongs and looked as if a step up in trip would suit her. She was still very green but the penny dropped in the closing stages and she ran on well in a fast run maiden. She has come out of that race well and appears to be beginning to click so she should run well but it is a hot maiden.
FOLLY BERGERE  runs in a 2 mile handicap and is drawn 9 of 9. We think stamina is her forte so we hope that stepping her up to this distance is the right way to go. She ran well over 14 furlongs last time out at Sandown finishing third. The track should suit her so we hope she can run a decent race tomorrow.
