Sandy Cove's first time at Chelmsford tomorrow

Wednesday, May 25, 2016
SANDY COVE runs at Chelmsford for the first time tomorrow in a 1 mile 5 furlong handicap. He is drawn 7 of 11 runners and Ryan Tate is on board. There are no ideal races for him on the turf at the moment so it seems a good opportunity to see if he likes the track. It tends to suit horses who act well on a fast surface and race up with the pace which he can and he has won most of his races on the all weather surface so it is worth a try.  The slight unknown is the trip as it is a furlong further than his best trip. It looks a tight handicap on paper but he is in good form so we are hoping for the best tomorrow.
