First time at Kempton for Major

Tuesday, May 17, 2016
MAJOR CRISPIES runs at Kempton for the first time tomorrow in a mile handicap and is drawn 12 of the 14 runners. It is a bit of an experiment with the track and the trip as he has not run over this trip before either. He has been working at home recently as if he would stay a mile and he works well on the surface at home so we feel it is worth putting it into practise on the racecourse. He ran well enough at Ascot last time and has come on for the run, he is very well at home. He has looked as if 6 or even 7 furlongs could be too short for him these days so we hope that the step up in trip will suit him. George Baker takes the ride, he has not ridden him before but his riding style should suit him so we are hoping for the best tomorrow.
