PERCEUS and FOLLY BERGERE are both interesting runners, if not for tomorrow, but for the season ahead. PERCEUS heads up the A1 to Doncaster where he runs in a 2 mile handicap on the flat. He is drawn 8 of the 11 runners and Graham Lee takes the ride. He has been hurdling over the winter and this is his first try over 2 miles on the flat but it should suit him. The ground is currently good to soft and hopefully it won't dry out too much as his best form on the flat is with cut in the ground. He is currently not well handicapped on the flat but we are hoping that the step up in trip could bring out some improvement in him. There is stamina in his pedigree so we are hopeful. He is in good form at home and it will be interesting to see him running back on the flat.
FOLLY BERGERE run at Sandown tomorrow in a 10 furlong fillies maiden. She will be ridden by Ryan Tate and is drawn 6 of the 11 runners. She ran very well on her seasonal debut on very very testing ground at Pontefract and has come on for that run. She will stay further than this in time but the ground tomorrow will make it more of a test of stamina and the course should suit her well. It is undoubtedly a good maiden race but she should run well.
