Two runners for Coh Sho No tomorrow

Tuesday, April 19, 2016
The half-brothers WIND PLACE AND SHO and NEXT TRAIN GONE both run tomorrow. WIND PLACE AND SO has been re routed to Epsom after Newbury was abandoned last Friday. He runs in the 12 furlong Great Metropolitan Handicap and is drawn 1 of the 13 runners, Andrea Atzeni takes the ride. This trip is probably a bit on the short side for him but we are keen to get a run into him before the 2 mile handicap at the York May meeting. The ground will be on the slow side which will help him as it will make it more of a test of stamina. It will be interesting to see if he handles the track as he has not run on this type of course before, it could give us  more options in the future if he does. He is entitled to need this first run of the season but he did win first time out last year so hopefully he can give a good account of himself tomorrow.
Younger brother NEXT TRAIN'S GONE runs on the all weather surface at Lingfield in a 10 furlong median auction maiden race. He is drawn 6 of the 10 runners and Ryan Tate rides. Like all the family he will be better over further in time but this seems a good place to start his 3 year old campaign. We are running him on the all weather surface as he is still a big baby so we did not want to run him on very soft ground at this stage of  his development. We hope he will be a nice horse for the future.
