ICE SLICE and FOLLY BERGERE will be our first flat runners on the turf this season at Pontefract tomorrow. ICE SLICE runs in a 1 mile handicap which has been divided and is drawn 10 of the 10 runners. He will be ridden by Graham Lee who knows him well and has won on him. The ground is currently soft which will be in his favour. The track is a slight question mark as it doesn't tend to suit hold up horses which is how he likes to be ridden. The race looks ideal for him though and he has been working well at home so he should run well if he handles the track.
FOLLY BERGERE runs in the same maiden race that WIND PLACE AND SHO won for us last year. Coincidentally she worked well with this horse at home recently. There were only 5 horses declared initially so the race was reopened and there are now 6 runners. She will also be ridden by Graham Lee who rode her on her racecourse debut where she finished third in a Newmarket maiden. She has been going well at home and has put in some good work on the grass so hopefully she is fit enough to do herself justice tomorrow.
