Runners under both codes tomorrow

Tuesday, October 27, 2015
There are 3 runners at 2 different meetings tomorrow and they would all have a chance. WILY FOX and IRON BUTTERFLY head to Fakenham to run over hurdles whilst ICE SLICE runs on the flat at Nottingham.
WILY FOX starts proceedings at Fakenham, he runs in a 2 mile 7 furlong handicap and will be ridden by Jack Quinlan. He ran a great race last time  finishing a good second. Admittedly that was at Market Rasen which seems to suit him very well but he does have form at Fakenham so hopefully he can run well again. The handicapper has not done him any favours by putting him up 2 pounds but the horse is in very good form at home so should run well again. The ground will be perfect for him at the moment, it would be a concern if they got significant rain there. If it does rain it would suit IRON BUTTERFLY  though. She is having her first run  after a break and has come back fresh and well. She runs in a 2 1/2 mile handicap hurdle and will also be ridden by Jack Quinlan. She has really pleased us with her work at home so hopefully she can run well tomorrow.
ICE SLICE runs in a 1 mile handicap at Nottingham and is drawn 9 of the 14 runners. He has won and been second on 2 previous visits to the course when he was also ridden by tomorrow's jockey Graham Lee. We know he likes the track and he has also won over this trip. He has alot in his favour tomorrow but would really benefit from some rain which is forecast, the softer the better for him.
