Two runners at Brighton tomorrow

Monday, October 5, 2015
LONG ISLAND and NUFOOTH run at Brighton tomorrow where they have both run well before. LONG ISLAND has her first run in handicap company, she runs in a 6 furlong nursery and is drawn 7 of the 10 runners. She finished second on her previous visit to the track and the form of the race has worked out solidly. Her last run at Salisbury was disappointing but she missed the break completely and never got into the race so one can hopefully put a line through that form. Any further rain will help her cause as it was heavy ground when she ran there before so she obviously appreciates some cut in the ground. If she can run to her best form she would have a chance tomorrow.
NOFOOTH ran well at Brighton for her previous trainer, Richard Hannon, last season so we are hoping she can run well there again. She is running in a mile handicap and is drawn 3 of the 12 runners. This will be her first run on the turf for us, we have run her twice on the all weather. She ran well on her first run at Kempton but was very disappointing at Chelmsford  and there is no obvious explanation except that none of the horses we have run there have run well! We are still feeling our way with her regarding trip and going but we hope that by going back to a track she has form on she can run well again.
