Cove chance to strike again

Friday, October 2, 2015
SANDY COVE returns to Wolverhampton tomorrow evening, the scene of his most recent victory. He runs in a 12 furlong handicap and is drawn 10 of the 12 runners. He will be running over the same trip as before and will be ridden once again by Luke Morris who gave him such an inspired ride last time. He has been put up 4 pounds for his latest victory and will meet YOURKINDRED SPIRIT, second to him last time, on exactly the same terms again. He has been in very good form at home since his last run so we are hopeful that he can win again tomorrow evening.
MAJOR CRISPIES also runs at Wolverhampton tomorrow evening. This will be his first run on the Tapeta surface. He runs in a 6 furlong handicap and is drawn 3 of the 13 runners. On slower ground on the turf he found 7 furlongs too far last time. We hope that the Tapeta surface will suit him but we are slightly concerned about the draw for him. He sometimes does not break well form the stall and he does not like to be overcrowded. Jack Garritty, who still claims 3 pounds, takes the ride and will hopefully be able to get him to break well and ride a race from there. He will need a bit of luck in running but hopefully the trip and the surface will suit him so it is worth a try.
