CHEIF SPIRIT runs at York tomorrow in a 10 furlong handicap and is unfavourably drawn in stall 19 of 20. He has had a bit of a break as the jockeys that rode him in the spring felt he would be better suited by a bit of give in the ground so we have prepared him for an autumn campaign. The ground should be ideal for him tomorrow, it is currently good/soft. Graham Lee rides him again, he rode him when he was third at Newbury to the smart INTILAAQ who is now a group 3 winner. It will be hard for him tomorrow drawn so wide over this trip at York but he has been working well at home. It will be interesting to see how he runs, he is fit enough to do himself justice but should improve again for the race.
