Ice Slice drops back in trip at Kempton

Tuesday, August 11, 2015
ICE SLICE runs in a 7 furlong handicap at Kempton tomorrow and is drawn 10 of the 12 runners. Leading apprentice Tom Marquand gets the ride and claims a valuable 5 pounds off his back. He ran a good race there over a mile last time out finishing 4th. The track surface has been topped up recently and is currently riding on the slow side which should suit him. His run at Haydock recently looked as if a step back in trip could suit him and he has plenty of speed in his pedigree so it seems worth trying him over this distance.
