SANDY COVE and WIND PLACE & SHO are running at opposite ends of the country tomorrow but both have chances. SANDY COVE returns to Brighton where he is a course and distance winner and should have his ideal going there too. He ran over 1 mile 6 furlongs at Newmarket last time but clearly didn't stay so returns to 12 furlongs tomorrow. Luke Morris takes the ride and has won on him before so he has everything in his favour. With only 6 runners he must have a good chance of getting on the scoresheet again.
WIND PLACE & SHO heads North to Haydock to run in a mile and 6 furlong handicap. This is a big step up in trip from his previous run over 1 mile 3 furlongs but his pedigree is all stamina so the trip should suit him. The only unknown is the ground if it ends up being on the fast side of good. He is a good actioned horse though and they did have a shower of rain there yesterday so hopefully the ground will be OK for him. There are 8 runners and Adam Kirby rides, he goes there with every chance. It would be nice to have an across the card double!
