Fox returns to hurdles at Stratford on Sunday

Friday, May 15, 2015
WILY FOX makes a return to hurdles at Stratford on Sunday after 2 recent runs on the flat. The form of his 2nd last run on the flat at Pontefract can be ignored as he returned with a slight respiratory infection, he ran a more encouraging race last time out at Lingfield. The ground should be good on Sunday which will suit him well. The trip is a slight unknown as it is over 3 miles 3 furlongs, an unusual distance. He showed he stays 3 miles last year so there is no reason to think he won't stay the extra 3 furlongs especially at a track like Stratford. He will be ridden by Jack Quinlan who knows him well. His last run over hurdles was a decent one and showed a he was returning to form, he has been dropped a few pounds by the handicapper so we are hoping for the best on Sunday.
